This week the first graders spent some time reviewing for their upcoming quiz. Everyone got a chance to showcase their ability to work independently and most were able to tackle the review material with ease. Knowing about other nationalities and cultures is important so as to understand other parts of the world. The second graders had a chance to learn about American culture and some the history behind the ethnicities that coexist together as Americans. We related some of the material to their social studies class and how migration played a part. The third and fourth graders continued to learn grammar and do readings in the workbook. Fun fun fun in the sun sun sun! The 5th graders were learning about the varying styles of storytelling used all over the world. They were learning how different cultures use certain styles to pass on life lessons. Later on in the week, they had to submit their own tales, written in their own words.
The sixth graders were working on their projects for the end of the semester. They also spent some time doing more writing practice in the form of a persuasive essay. Most of the students were able to produce some great work and others still need some assistance. Best, Teacher Paddy and Christina 評論已關閉。
